As Katie grows up, she'll figure out ways to combat the excema on her own -- it WILL get easier! Every person is different and doctors can only tell you so much about what you're allergic to. When I was a kid, my parents even removed the carpeting from my room on the doc's orders -- didn't do a bit of good. But now that I'm an adult, I know what works for me. I use all natural/organic products on my skin (no phosphates, sulfates, parabens, or unnatural scents), wash my hands immediately after coming in contact with dust or dogs, and try to get as much vitamin D as possible. I used to go to the tanning beds, which helped my skin IMMENSELY... but then I decided skin cancer was probably worse than excema. LOL. But I still do try to get sunlight on my skin whenever possible.<BR/><BR/>That's me, though. You might find that different things work for her. But you WILL figure it out, especially as she gets older and becomes more aware of cause and effect.
